Hi. If you prefer to listen, I recently spoke about myself here.
I write a biweekly Substack newsletter - the SneakyArt Post. It is a good way to stay updated with everything I’m doing. And also a good way to get in touch!
I grew up in Kolkata (India) and studied to be an engineer like many students of my generation. I got a BTech in Mechanical Engineering, an MSc in Biomechanical Design and was halfway through a PhD in Neuroscience before I decided to finally commit to my true passion - telling stories.
I was writing my magnum opus - a novel that would change the world - when procrastination and a writer’s block prompted me to pick up a sketchbook. One thing led to another and quite accidentally I am now an artist.
No matter the form of creative expression, I follow the same rule that got me started - a compass pointed to my curiosity, and giving myself the permission to pursue it.
I lived in Chicago, then Eau Claire (Wisconsin), then Chicago again, and now I am in beautiful Vancouver (Canada). As of February 2024, I also have a full-time job as a father!
Get in touch to ask about my work, to commission art for your home, or for any other collaborations. I would love to hear from you!
